So I haven't had internet for about 3 weeks now, but I worked on this for a little bit of that time. I find that my art is usually pretty unsaturated so I wanted to do something more colorful. Who better to use as my guinea pig than my patron troll?

This is good - a bit of detail on the joints on the hand would really nail it

_{I agree. I get base coloring, but details really trip me up. I need to learn about the way the face/body is skulpted so I can render more realistic shading}

I used to deliberately avoid adding details, as I thought it would reflect imperfections in the character... Somewhere down the line I realised this was incredibly immature, but it took a long while to break the habit and think of things like wrinkles in the skin as being something organic and humanising, rather than grotesque
